Concert THE GERRY HUNDT TRIO (USA)
Chicago Blues? Yes! What about Surf, Rock and
Country? YES! The Gerry Hundt Trio’s repertoire
spans genres and decades each night. From
storming the stage at world-renowned blues
venues like Buddy Guy’s Legends to setting the
mood at private events, Gerry and the fellas are
sure to entertain. The Trio has appeared in Germany, Switzerland, France, BENELUX, Chicago,
Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana.
Our Influences We draw inspiration from a wide
range of musical genres, including Magic Sam,
Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Chris Stapleton, Dick
Dale, Tony Joe White, and The Black Keys.
Our Story Hailing from Chicago, Gerry Hundt is
a respected veteran of the city’s blues scene,
performing regularly at Kingston Mines, Buddy
Guy’s Legends, the House of Blues and regional
roadhouses. Album credits include Delmark,
Blind Pig, and Blue Bella Records, garnering
headline appearances at Chicago Blues Festival
and Montreal Jazz Festival. In collaboration with
roots stalwarts Tom Lehnert and Renaud Lesire,
the Gerry Hundt Trio presents its living, evocative
music to both entertain and engage audiences
of any size. With his Trio Gerry proofs that he is
a wunderkind of the Blues, an old-timey music
multi-instrumentalist who plays as many roles
as he does instruments. Hundt is an entertainer
in the classic sense of “all-in and fully involved.”
Tom Lehnert on drums and Renaud Lesire on
bass keep the beats steady and funky.
.
One more for me is the Trio’s latest album,
recorded at ‘Holtz Sound’ Studios in Luxembourg
with drummer Tom Lehnert and bassist/harmonicist Renaud Lesire. One more for me represents
Gerry’s emergence as an important voice in the
contemporary blues scene. By turns powerful,
exuberant and subtle, this album marks Gerry’s
most personal statement to date and is a celebration of the city he calls home.
