Description
Starting at “um Däich,” this figure-eight-shaped route first follows the Alzette river along the Cycle Path 15 toward Ingeldorf and Diekirch. From there, it continues along the Sûre River, offering beautiful riverside scenery and well-maintained, paved paths throughout.
You then cross a bridge to return to Ettelbrück. From here, the tour can optionally be extended: via Grenzingen, the route passes Schierenermillen, Welsdorf, and Schieren, forming an additional loop for those who wish to stay out a little longer.

Starting from Parking Däich in Ettelbrück, the tour first follows the Alzette for a short stretch, passing beneath the striking blue railway bridge before joining Cycle Path 15 toward Ingeldorf. From there, the route continues idyllically along the Sûre River to the bridge near Camping de la Sûre.
After crossing the Sûre for the first time, the route follows the opposite bank. Along the way, campsites and small restaurants invite you to take a well-deserved break. Charming picnic areas, playgrounds, and spots to enjoy a drink right by the river offer plenty of opportunities to relax.
The tour then continues to Ingeldorf, where a wooden bridge marks the beginning of the return leg to Ettelbrück. After passing the starting point at Parking Däich, the route crosses another bridge toward Grenzingen. In Welsdorf, you cross the final bridge before the route leads back to Ettelbrück via Schieren.
The tour can also be conveniently started from the Schieren train station.
Equipment
Make sure your bike is safe to ride. Always carry a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump. A helmet and good lighting are also important. Don't forget to take a water bottle and a basic tool kit for minor repairs. Bring suitable clothing and food.

Take the bus or train to the stations in Schieren, Ettelbruck or Diekirch.
