Description
Explore the area around Bettembourg on the Cycle path François Faber (PC 10)
The François Faber cycle path begins in the centre of Leudelange at the junction of “rue de Cessange” (CR179) / “rue du Lavoir” (CR163). It heads south via “Rue d’Esch” (N4) to cross the Esch motorway (A4).
It enters the forest behind the “Sidor” waste incineration plant and crosses the “Beetebuergerbësch” on a gravel track (forest path). After approaching CR163, it continues on an asphalt section to turn right at the edge of the forest. It climbs towards Abweiler and crosses CR163 before entering Abweiler. The path passes through Abweiler and turns left at the next junction heading south.
After the "Ierzebierg," the path descends to Fennage and reaches the N13. You then must turn right and continue for one hundred metres to reach a local road. The PC10 runs along the Alzette and crosses the Bettembourg-Kayl railway line at a level crossing. Finally, the route joins the PC6 “Cycle path of the three cantons.” On some sections, the PC10 approaches the municipal route of Bettembourg.
