Description
This route is easy to manage except for one strenuous climb and is therefore also suitable for beginners.
The route starts in Bech and initially leads through open countryside and small villages with a rural character. Behind Dickweiler, it passes the scenically located Girsterklaus Chapel, which invites you to linger because of the impressive view. From there it goes downhill into the Sauer valley. The next 12 km run leisurely along the Sauer to Echternach. Behind the abbey town, which is worth a stopover, follows the most difficult part of the route: a 5 km long climb to Berdorf. The effort is worth it, as the route passes famous sandstone formations such as the "Perekop." Once on the plateau, it is mostly flat to Consdorf and from there over smaller and larger roads back to the starting point in Bech.
