Description
The Nicolas Franz cycle route (PC 13) connects the Attert cycle route (PC12) and the center ring route (PC1) via Garnich, Mamer, and Strassen.
The cycle route PC13 begins between Kahler and Hagen. To reach it, you must follow PC12, either from the center of Kahler or from the church in Hagen. The path starts at the entrance of the forest, a few hundred meters south of the Arlon motorway A6. After two ascents (1x 20m and 1x 40m elevation difference) and a short descent, you reach the "Route des trois cantons" (N13) in Garnich, which you follow for about 500m northwards before turning right towards Luxembourg City. If you ride eastward across the fields, you reach Mamer after about 7 kilometers. In Mamer ("rue du Baumbusch") you must follow "rue de Holzem" and "rue du Commerce" to the center and then turn right towards the church into "rue du Millénaire." At the outskirts of Mamer ("route de Dippach"/CR102 and then "rue de Bertrange" (municipal path)) is the new train stop for the Josy Barthel technical high school, which was built on the left side of the railway. Then continue on the old Roman road parallel to Tossebierg (N6) uphill to Bertrange.

Option: Branches to Bertrange: It is possible to go directly to Bertrange from Mamer by following the CR102 towards Holzem and turning right after the intervention center at the football field and immediately left after the railway underpass. The same is possible if you turn right at the junction after the technical high school of Mamer.
You continue on "Rue des Romains" and reach Strassen. Unfortunately, when this street was redesigned in Strassen, the cycle path was not taken into account, so you have to ride up to the "Route d'Arlon" (N6), follow it to the next junction, and then go back down "Rue des Romains" to the junction with CR230 to get to PC1 (the center cycle route).

Always watch out for streets and obstacles that could cross the cycle path.
