Description
This hike can easily be combined with a visit to Meyrishaff. It is a farm located between the village of Bastendorf and the Sûre River, where free-range chickens, Angus cows with calves, and sheep are raised. The farm shop offers products from the farm itself as well as a wide range of other regional products. The selection includes free-range eggs, meat, potatoes, and strawberries. Crops such as spelt, triticale, and sunflowers are grown in the fields. In addition to buying high-quality regional products directly from the farmer, visitors can enjoy tastings and book guided tours of the farm. A 24/7 self-service food box with fresh products is also available.
It's hard not to simply walk straight from the starting point of this route up to Brandenbourg Castle. But a small detour is worth it! The viewpoint Kinneksknäppchen will make you forget your efforts with a breathtaking view of the castle. And later on the route, you can also take a close look at the remains of the ruin.
