Escapardenne Éislek Trail

The trail begins in Kautenbach, a small village from which the other parts of the Éislek can also be explored. On the trail, it heads towards the traditional region "Kiischpelt" with its enclosed valleys up to the quaint village of Munshausen and further along the Woltz valley to Clerf.

The path continues along the river, climbs the valley slope to Ulflingen, bypasses this village, and then heads west along the charming Trëtterbaach valley to the Asselborn mill.

The next section takes a leisurely path between Hoffelt and Buret, from the Rhine basin over to the Meuse basin and through historic areas where you can find the remnants of a "project dream" once envisioned by William of Orange. Near Tavigny, we encounter one of the main construction sites of the canal between the Meuse and the Rhine, before continuing to Houffalize.

After several more river bends, the trail climbs up to the plateau to Nadrin.

The final stage begins on forest paths and offers a look far back into the past when the Celtic oppidum of Cheslé was founded. Again, the path climbs the plateau where you can enjoy several breathtaking views, including from the slopes of Crestelles. A few kilometers further, the path goes through Borzée, then over the hills and past the Deister rock outcrop, which provides a striking view of the beautiful town of La Roche-en-Ardenne.
