Description
This circular hiking route takes you down into the fascinating rock world of the region and to two geological highlights: the Perekop and the Huel Lee.
The hiking trail first leads across the plateau of Berdorf, along fields and offers wonderful views over the landscape in good weather. Then it goes down into the rock landscape. After a detour along the Halsbaach, past places with evocative names like "Wëllkeschkummer" and "Zigeinerlee" the path continues down into the valley of the Aesbaach. There awaits a geological highlight: the Perekop. A rock that you can climb up via a ladder.
It continues on the Mullerthal Trail through the enchanting rock landscape to the "Huel Lee", a man-made cave. An information board provides details about its formation.
From there, it goes gently uphill back to Berdorf. The town offers many places to eat and shop.
