Description
Lieler is located at the tri-border area between Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. It is here that the Auto-Pédestre also runs.
The Auto-Pédestre Lieler first leads into the wooded valley of the Réibaach and follows it to its confluence with the Our, where the famous tri-border area is located. Here, the Belgian, German, and Luxembourg borders meet.
By the way, at this point the Our is a condominium, a joint sovereignty area between Germany and Luxembourg.
At the tri-border area, there is also a European monument on the Belgian side, commemorating the Roman Treaties of 1957. This extraordinary place is also the lowest point of the Auto-Pédestre route.
Afterwards, the path still follows the Our through the forest. Once the path leaves the Our valley, it goes steeply uphill to the starting point of the route.
