The Michael Schenker Group is a hard rock powerhouse built around the unmistakable guitar work of Michael Schenker, combining electrifying riffs, soaring melodies and emotionally charged solos with raw, uncompromising live energy. Formed in 1979 after Schenker’s landmark work with Scorpions and UFO., MSG became the guitarist’s vehicle for pursuing his own musical vision, and a defining force in melodic hard rock.
Schenker first recorded with Scorpions as a teenager before rising to international prominence with UFO., where his playing helped shape classics such as “Doctor Doctor” and “Rock Bottom.” With the Michael Schenker Group, he channelled that experience into a distinctive sound balancing muscular rhythms and powerful vocals with expressive, instantly recognisable lead guitar. Across changing line-ups and decades of music, that combination has remained at the heart of MSG.
In 2027, the group return to European stages by overwhelming demand with the continuation of the Don’t Sell Your Soul Tour. The show brings their acclaimed 2025 album Don’t Sell Your Soulto life alongside selected highlights from Schenker’s remarkable career.
