Course Description
Bachata is a dance that originates from the Dominican Republic.
It is easy to learn, fun, and romantic.
Traditional bachata is cheerful and widely enjoyed.
It is danced among friends, family, it's a dance of sharing and reunion.
Modern bachata is more sophisticated, with a romantic character.

The style you choose to express will convey either elegance or playful fun, it all depends on the character you want to give and your musical interpretation.
The essence of the dance is achieved through body and hip movements, which share similarities with other African and Caribbean dances.
The growth of tourism in the Dominican Republic has contributed to the international popularity of bachata.
During the classes, we will learn all three ways of dancing Bachata:
Dominican Bachata;
Modern Bachata;
Pasitos (footwork).
