Bachata is a dance from the Dominican Republic, it is an easy dance to learn, it is fun and romantic.
Traditional bachata is popular and very cheerful, it is practiced by friends, family, it is a dance of sharing and reunion.
Modern bachata is sophisticated, with a romantic character and sensuality.
The style that you perform will transmit passion or fun: it will depend on the character you want to give it, and your musical listening.
The character of the dance is obtained by a movement of the body and the hip which retains a similarity with certain African and Caribbean dances.
The expansion of tourism in the Dominican Republic has given bachata international popularity.
