Description
An experience route through Bettembourg, leading through the whole town in the giant footsteps of the "Ris".
10 meters tall and colorful: the "Ris" of the "Parc Merveilleux" is probably the best-known resident of Bettembourg. With his red hat, checked trousers, and blue sweater, he is the unmistakable symbol of the animal and fairy tale park opened in 1955.
Together with the artists Andy Genen (image) and Lucien Czuga (text), a comic book was created, sending the "Ris" on a journey with his friend, the parrot Lori.
Follow the giant of the "Parc Merveilleux" on this circular route. Along the path, aimed especially at children and families, visitors trace the "Ris"’s route, discover the story at augmented reality stations, and see several sculptures and other works of art.
The route also exists in a longer version (10 km) which also leads through the "Stréissel" nature reserve.
