Description
This circular route runs on the wooded highlands of the Sauer valley, along the impressive bends of this river.
The Auto-Pédestre Goesdorf starts in the village center, close to the municipal administration. At first, the route descends into the Sauer valley.
Shortly before crossing the Beetebach, you will reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the meanders of the Sauer. Afterwards, the route goes uphill back toward Goesdorf.
By the way: The name Goesdorf is derived from Gießdorf. The place was a former industrial site based on antimony deposits. The mine located west of the village was first mentioned in 1354 and was operational until 1938.
