Sonic Investigations
A Field Report
Sonic Investigations: A Field Report is an immersive proposition that explores how focusing on sound can transform our perception of the environment. The exhibition revisits the sound piece developed for the Luxembourg Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, this time returning to the territory where it was recorded: Luxembourg.
This Field Report presents a collection of field recordings, on-site research and reflections on a range of spaces, from data centres and forests to energy production infrastructures and artificial lakes. Through sound, these places reveal the invisible dynamics that shape the landscape.
Listening opens up new possibilities for exploring built and natural environments, shifting our attention and giving voices to the non-human entities that we coexist with. The project offers an opportunity to imagine new spatial perspectives and bring a multisensory approach to architectural practices.
