Victor Hugo viewpoint

The Victor Hugo viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of the meandering River Our and the green hills that surround it. This natural backdrop served as inspiration for several of Victor Hugo's artworks.

During his stays in Luxembourg, Victor Hugo created sixty drawings here inspired by the wild nature of the Éislek. The viewpoint is located above the Our and can only be reached on foot via the Éislek Pad Vianden.
A small painter's square commemorates Hugo's artistic work. Today, this place invites you to linger and picnic while you let your gaze wander over the landscape and feel surrounded by the tranquillity of nature.
