The Zéintscheier

In the tithe barn from the 17th century, the citizens of Grevenmacher had to pay their taxes: the ninth sheaf and the ninth basket of grapes, as already documented in the Freedom Charter of 1252. Recent excavations have revealed that today's tithe barn is not the first building to be located on this site in the centre of Grevenmacher.
