National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights

Having opened in 1956, the National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights of Esch shows how the population of Luxembourg resisted the Nazi occupation during the second world war, what life was like in the concentration camps and the fate of Jews in Luxembourg. More recently, following a sensitive restoration of the building, the museum has expanded its remit to include exhibitions and events which explore the notion of human rights, citizenship, and the importance of historical memory.
