Poesie Plus Literature Plus Performances Plus Music Plus Celebration Plus Exchange Plus Community

Poesie Plus is a 3-day literature and performance festival that explores the intersections of literature, music, embodied performance, and the visual arts. Conceived as a space for experimentation and participation, the festival invites both artists and audiences to explore new ways of creating, sharing, and experiencing literature. The pluridisciplinary program encourages artistic risk-taking and innovative approaches to literary and performance practices, offering new ways to discover literature and poetry.

Participation lies at the heart of the festival through its experimental and participatory formats, in particular through its two community projects: Porte Parole and Hôte Voix.

The project Porte Parole. transforms the public spaces of Esch into a space for collective writing. Poetry prompts displayed on pinboards throughout the city invite passersby to contribute their own words, creating a collaborative poem shaped by the voices of the community.

Hôte Voix invites the citizens of Esch to host intimate readings by festival authors in their own homes. By opening their living rooms and kitchens, hosts bring literature back into everyday life. In these intimate settings, literature moves beyond cultural institutions and opens up space for conversation and exchange between authors and audiences, making it a shared experience.
