The artist Park Myeung-Hee communicates with the world through her works. Twenty-three years ago, she discovered Korean lacquer (otchil) and mother-of-pearl, traditional materials of her culture, and began her path as an artist. Questions from viewers led her to share her life story and her meditation experiences, which eventually became a book. Her works carry the questions about existence she has held since childhood, along with the experiences lived in her search for answers. Through meditation, she freed herself from her traumas and drew closer to her true being. She hopes her works serve as healing art, bringing peace and happiness, an expression of bodhicitta, the Buddhist "spirit of awakening" that seeks the good of all beings.
