At the Heart of the State: Discover emblematic institutional sites of Luxembourg’s heritage

As part of the European Heritage Days, the Chamber of Deputies, the Grand Ducal Palace, the Ministry of State, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture will exceptionally open their doors to the public on Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last entry).

As part of the European Heritage Days, the Chamber of Deputies, the Grand Ducal Palace, the Ministry of State, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture will exceptionally open their doors to the public on Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last entry).


This simultaneous opening offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover emblematic sites of the Luxembourg State, at the crossroads of history, architecture, and institutions. Through specially designed tours, the public can explore exceptional buildings and gain a deeper understanding of their role in the life of the country.


Chamber of Deputies and Grand Ducal Palace


The Chamber of Deputies opens its doors and invites you to step into a place rich in history, where laws are drafted and voted. Discover the collection of portraits of the Grand Dukes and Grand Duchesses who have shaped the country, and explore the plenary chamber, the iconic setting where major political debates take place.


You will then pass through to the Grand Ducal Palace, a remarkable architectural complex shaped by successive building phases between the 16th and 19th centuries, and the official residence of the Luxembourg Sovereign since 1895.


This joint opening offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover emblematic sites of the Luxembourg State, at the crossroads of history, architecture, and institutions. Through specially designed tours, the public can explore exceptional buildings and gain a deeper understanding of their role in the life of the country.

  • Chamber of Deputies and Grand Ducal Palace: joint visit route
  • 19, rue du Marché-aux-Herbes, L-1370 Luxembourg
  • .
  • Free entry, no prior registration required
  • Last entry at 5:00 p.m.
  • Entry via the main entrance of the Chamber building; exit via the Grand Ducal Palace
  • Security checks in place; large items must be deposited and collected after the visit
  • Limited capacity; waiting times may occur
  • Accessible for persons with reduced mobility (PRM)
  • Photography and audiovisual recording are not permitted inside the Grand Ducal Palace
