Interactive trail to discover nature, the wolf and a local legend.

In the heart of the forests around Olingen, the Wollefswee invites young and old to discover a world that is at once natural, educational and imaginative.

This family-friendly hiking trail is inspired by the regional legend of the last wolf. Along the route, visitors discover a touching story, information about the wolf and its way of life, as well as several interactive stations that make the walk lively and accessible for children. Through nature, illustrations, explanatory panels and an audio story, the Wollefswee offers an experience that sparks curiosity, encourages observation and turns a simple walk into a real adventure.

The “Wollefswee” in Olingen

The Wollefswee was designed as an outdoor activity for the whole family. The route leads through the wooded landscapes of Olingen and gives children the opportunity to learn while walking, listening and observing. The information panels and stations installed along the trail introduce different topics related to the wolf in a playful way: its habitat, its behaviour, its tracks, its role in nature and the place it holds in our collective imagination. To accompany the discovery of the trail, an audio story specially produced for the Wollefswee brings the legend of the last wolf to life. Visitors can listen to the story as they walk and let themselves be guided by the atmosphere of the tale.

Nature, imagination and discovery

The Wollefswee is at once a hiking trail, an educational route and an invitation to see the forest in a different way. It helps visitors learn more about an animal often surrounded by myths, while highlighting the natural heritage and local stories of the commune of Betzdorf. Whether for a family outing, an activity with children or an original walk in nature, the Wollefswee offers a wonderful opportunity to discover Olingen from a new perspective.
