Viewing Platform Ruetsbech

Where? L-6550 Berdorf

Built in 2025, the Ruetsbech viewing platform overlooks the valley of the Black Ernz and the characteristic landscapes of the Mullerthal Region.

The Ruetsbech viewing platform stands above the valley of the Black Ernz and offers wide views across the characteristic landscapes of the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland.

The site lies on the edge of Luxembourg Sandstone, and its amazing rock formations were formed around 190 million years ago. Over thousands of years, water and erosion carved the deep valleys of this area, shaping the varied landscape visible today.

The accessible platform, built in 2025 from steel and local timber, was designed to minimize impact on the sensitive sandstone surface. Visitors enjoy impressive views into the wooded valleys and rock formations – a peaceful place where the geological history of the Mullerthal Region becomes tangible.

The platform can be reached via a footpath that starts at the Martbusch Tourist Information Office in Berdorf.
