Rockhal

Where? 5, Avenue du Rock'n'Roll, L-4361 Esch-sur-Alzette

The concert hall you don’t want to miss!

Opened in 2005, Rockhal is Luxembourg’s leading music venue capable of hosting a wide variety of international and local artists spanning a wide range of music styles. Located against the spectacular scenery of the former industrial steel plants of Belval, it has a main hall with a capacity of 6,500 people, a smaller venue (The Club) with a 1,200 standing capacity, and a more intimate space which can host up to 200 people (The Floor). But that’s not all, and if you are interested in trying out new musical ideas, you can hire space for rehearsal or recording in the Rocklab, which is a state-of-the-art documentation and resource centre.

Escher Theater
Standing right on one corner of Resistance Square (also known as Brillplaz) in the heart of Esch, the Escher Theater is both a receiving and producing organisation. Each season, the theatre offers around 50 performances of theatre, dance and music – together with creative work which span all these disciplines. Here you can see productions from European theatres as well as from Luxembourg, but also work co-created with the local community. As Luxembourg stands at the crossroads of other countries, the venue asserts its cross-border and multicultural vocation through multilingual programming, primarily in French and German. Since 2018, plays for young audiences have been one of the main focuses of its programme.
