Riesling Open

Where? Wormeldange Ehnen, L-5480 Wormeldange Traditions, Wine festivals, Music Festivals

The Riesling weekend of open wine cellars

The Riesling commune of Wormeldange earns its name from the excellent soil conditions and steep slopes, a terroir that is ideal for the ripening of magnificent Riesling grapes. On the 3rd weekend in September, you can taste the perfect Riesling, but of course also all the other products and Crémants in the open wine cellars, wine taverns and vineyards of the local winegrowers. Wine tasting and wine sales directly from the winegrower! A special wine also needs special advertising? You're right, the crowning of the Riesling Queen traditionally kicks off the Riesling Open! She is on the road with her wine princesses at over 70 appearances at home and abroad. Take the chance and ask for a selfie!

The four wine villages of Wormeldange, Ehnen, Ahn and Machtum open their cellars together. Discover the musical entertainment and local specialities in the various villages. On Sundays, you even have the unique opportunity to take a ride on the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid and be ferried from one Moselle village to the next free of charge.
