Where? Route du vin, L-5427 Stadtbredimus Traditions, Wine festivals

“Don’t be silly, go to the Picadilly!”

Probably no local hasn’t been at least once to this wine festival which is known beyond the borders. On Fridays and Saturdays, it’ all about the Picadilly party, while on Sundays on Family Day the traditional concert of the Harmonie Municipale of Esch/Alzette offers a more relaxed way of celebrating. One thing, however, won’t be missing on these 3 days: the Picadilly wine (“Pica” = sparkling, “dilly” = crazy)! Sweet and slightly sparkling, this drink is reminds of a Kir Royal (sparkling wine with currant liqueur) and offers a surprising and refreshing alternative to the classic wines, which of course won’t be missing on this festival as well! Local joie de vivre for all generations guaranteed!
