Performance

Rien ne se passe – panoplie de la diversion

Création 2026 – Compagnie RN7

18:30 – 20:30 + 21:30 – 23:30

Come in and … choose a direction. Let yourself be surprised by the unexpected and the unpredictable. Do you feel as though nothing is happening? And yet … it is. Visit the museum, but also allow your gaze to stray from the artworks and be caught by the incongruous, the strange, the poetic, the absurd. Listen closely. Let your curiosity and powers of observation guide you. Keep in mind that, sometimes, NOTHING will happen. And sometimes, something will happen precisely when you think that nothing is happening.

This new work by RN7 plays with the shifting boundaries of live performance. By choosing to inhabit spaces not originally intended for performance, RN7 questions the conventions of looking, the audience’s habitual modes of reception, and the forms of encounter that can emerge within these public spaces. Seeking a coexistence between dance and the ways in which a place is used, Rien ne se passe – panoplie de la diversion opens up interstices in which other ways of making space exist can emerge, as well as new forms of relationship between visitors/spectators and the artists performing.

Joint project

Collect the City – Kinen stamps

With Irina Moons

18:00 – 01:00 | At Mudam Café

Irina Moons is interested in what connects people, places and collective memory. Through illustration, hand printing and participatory devices, the artist seeks to turn visitors into active co-creators of the work. The Museum Night Passport project invites visitors to explore the city, collect fragments of its heritage and collectively build an image of Luxembourg.

The installation takes the form of seven identical stations, with one located in each of the participating museums. Each station features a unique stamp inspired by a detail of its host museum, such as its architecture, the collection, a motif or another distinctive feature. At each stop, visitors get a new stamp in their passport. Each impression works as an illustration in its own right. Together, they gradually build into a single image – a poetic portrait of Luxembourg City.

The trail will run until the end of the year, inviting visitors to move from museum to museum to complete the image. Visitors who collect all the stamps will receive free admission to each participating museum.

Meet the Art

Art Bites

18:00 – 23:00

From 18:00, Mudam invites visitors to discover the new exhibitions through a series of short, twenty-minute introductions to the artworks. These take place every hour on the hour, in EN, FR, LU and DE, across all exhibition spaces.

ASK ME !

18:00 – 23:00

Throughout the evening, gallery guides will be on hand in every exhibition space to answer your questions and discuss your observations.

Workshop

Drop-in! SIGNS=SIGNS

In collaboration with the Hörgeschädigten Beratung SmH

18:00 – 23:00 | At Mudam Studio

Inspired by Christine Sun Kim’s FOR EVER, SIGNS = SIGNS explores the relationship between sign language, words and visual expression.

Choose a word and discover its sign language translation with the deaf community and sign language interpreters. Find the corresponding visual on the wall, then create your own visual interpretation of the word. It can be abstract, expressive or unexpected. Add your work to the wall and become part of a growing collective language.
