Course description
Bachata is a dance that originated in the Dominican Republic; it is easy to learn, fun and romantic.
Traditional bachata is popular and very lively; it is danced by friends, family and couples – it is a dance of sharing and reunion.
Modern bachata is sophisticated, with a romantic and sensual character.
The style you choose to dance will convey either the ultimate passion or sheer fun: this will depend on the character you wish to give it, and on how well you listen to the music.
The dance’s character is achieved through body and hip movements that bear a resemblance to certain African and Caribbean dances.

A staple of Latin nights, it is an unmissable part of the scene.
During the classes, we will learn the three ways of dancing Bachata:
Dominican Bachata;
Modern Bachata;
Pasitos.
