Bike & MTB
As a place for cycling, Luxembourg is hard to beat! In the city or the countryside, by bike or MTB, the Grand Duchy is bursting with great cycling opportunities. Get in the saddle!
Cycling and Mountainbiking
Hop on your bike and meander around the streets of Luxembourg City, where clearly marked cycle paths will give you a whole new perspective on the capital. What’s more, by peddling just a little further, you’ll be able to get out into the surrounding regions and go on an open-air adventure.
Luxembourg is well set up for cycle tourism, with over 350 miles of cycle paths and over 400 miles of MTB trails, and new additions to both every year. Riding the length of the Moselle River, on a vineyard-lined path; testing yourself on MTB trails in the middle of the forest; crossing into neighbouring countries on two wheels; or trying your hand at riding a racing bike – anything is possible! On top of that, the regional tourist offices offer something a bit different in the tourist season: the chance to discover part of the country in a unique way on a guided cycle tour.
Lots of cyclists have earned their stripes riding Luxembourg’s roads and trails, including some big names, such as Charly Gaul and the Schleck brothers. Follow in their tyre tracks and take your holiday up a gear!
