Description
Luxembourg route - Discover the two tourist cities par excellence of the Grand Duchy: the capital Luxembourg with its old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the abbey town of Echternach, whose unique dancing procession is part of the intangible UNESCO heritage. This easy route first runs along a former railway track. On a shady path along the Alzette, you circle the capital and head towards the spa town of Mondorf-les-Bains. The path winds through forests and vineyards up to the wine town of Remich. In the wide Moselle valley, you cycle downstream through the fortress town of Grevenmacher to the lowest point in the country at Wasserbillig. The route follows the Sauer from its confluence with the Moselle through a splendidly green landscape back to Echternach.
