A bird paradise awaits you, with rare flora and fauna including the little bittern, the great reed warbler, the tufted duck, the common pochard and the great crested grebe.

A man-made paradise. The former gravel pit area of Remerschen/Wintringen forms a wetland area of Europe-wide significance due to its biodiversity. Two nature adventure trails with observation huts make it possible to discover fauna and flora first-hand.
