Niklosbierg Viewpoint

Where? L-9414 Vianden

The viewpoint on the Niklosbierg offers a spectacular view of the upper reservoir of the Vianden pumped storage plant and the wild Our valley.

The vantage point on Niklosbierg offers an impressive view of the upper basin of the Vianden pumped storage plant, which is operated by the Société électrique de l'Our (SEO). The impressive hydroelectric plant, which plays a central role in the region's energy production, can be clearly seen from here. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Our valley, the viewpoint invites you to explore the surrounding area.

The viewpoint is easily accessible by car. There is a car park at the foot of the lookout tower. From there, several dozen steps lead up to the viewing platform, from where the entire surrounding area can be enjoyed to the fullest. A panorama board helps visitors to interpret the surrounding landscape and better understand how the pumped storage power plant works.
