As part of an original system of underground galleries and tunnels stretching over 23 km, built into the rock for defensive purposes, the Bock Casemates bear witness to the former importance of the fortress of Luxembourg. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these underground tunnels carved into the rock bear witness to the fortress city’s turbulent past. Through the embrasures, you can enjoy a magnificent and truly unique view of the lower town.
