A passion for good things

Good things are made by hand. Luxembourg’s small, traditional manufacturers process their ingredients with love and care. Herbs, teas, oils and cereals ‘Vum Séi’, cider, flour and honey enjoy an excellent reputation, as do many other regional specialities. Many restaurants also offer popular local produce on their menus and typical dishes unique to Luxembourg.

How about an original souvenir? These are often handmade in social workshops. Take home some beautiful candles or soaps, or visit a former cloth factory and see how textiles are produced in traditional ways – and treat yourself to a warm winter scarf or a wonderfully soft and cuddly woollen cushion. Would you like to be able to call a rather special sound from Luxembourg your very own? Then take home one of the traditional ‘Péckvillercher’, little bird-shaped clay whistles that come in all shapes and sizes.

Whether you are looking for food and drink, lifestyle, decoration or everyday objects for your home, there is something for everyone at the markets, shops and museums in Luxembourg.
