NATAŠA GRUJOVIĆ & STEVE MOORE
workshop
The duo of Nataša Grujović and Steve Moore first performed together in 2022, as part of a tribute to the late Luxembourgish artist and composer Steve Kaspar. By 2023, they had begun the process of composing their first original works which would eventually become Event Horizon, a series of pieces premiered at Casino Luxembourg and performed later at KulturFabrik in Esch. While there are many shared elements with electro-acoustic music via synthesizers and digital
processing, the duos primary force comes from its use of resonance in acoustic spaces and in the instruments they play — accordion and trombone — to createharmonic fields into which melodic elements are introduced encompassing spiritual jazz, ritualistic drone and western classical traditions.

WORKSHOP 04.07. 16h00
Being and the blues...
As part of their performance at VEWA Dudelange, Nataša Grujović and Steve
Moore will present a reading and workshop based on the book Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm written by Steve Moore and published by Casino Luxembourg - forum d’art contemporain in 2026. Participants will be given a guided tour through the world of harmonics and geometry, illuminating their connections to contemporary music practices and the human experience of time and space.
Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm reads like a textbook for a Paleolithic pre-school, making plain the simple congruences of Space and Time within the domain of human perception. Written by hand and with a subtle comedy, it asks the reader to examine pure meaning face to face through mirrors of truth wrapped in clouds of playful mysticism. Plato, Pythagoras, Polyrhythm draws a line through Sound and Shape to reawaken an understanding of the Self.
