“Visual Arts & Philately” Exhibition (Mamer Schlass)

The Mamer Schlass has been transformed into the National Museum of Miniature Arts and the Miniature Art Gallery. On display are philatelic items (stamps, postmarks, etc.) featuring artists and works—all connected in one way or another to Luxembourg—from the field of visual arts “in the broadest sense,” including, above all, architecture, painting, sculpture, photography… and comic books.

Exhibition of Historical Photos of Mamer (Mamer Schlass)

.

Beginning in the late 19th century, amateur photographers from Mamer captured images—primarily of buildings and people—using the appropriate equipment and techniques. Numerous photos of all kinds related to Mamer are on display.

Exhibition of Paintings (Mamer Schlass)

Original works by Mamer artists Mars Schmit (1931–1990) and Carlo Losch (1937–2019)—which have been featured on philatelic items—are on display courtesy of POST Luxembourg.

Malou Faber-Hilbert (b. 1955), a native of Mamer, is showcasing some of her works. Anne Mélan (b. 1984), who has created various philatelic items for the Mamer Philatelic Circle in recent years, is displaying several of her creations.
