De la Sécession aux Iconomaques - L'art au Luxembourg de 1930 à 1960

The Municipality of Strassen and the Lëtzebuerger Artisten Center (LAC) present the exhibition: From the Secession to the Iconomaques. Art in Luxembourg from 1930 to 1960. This exhibition brings together a selection of works from public and private collections. Paintings and sculptures bear witness to the diversity of artistic practices and the transformations that took place over these three decades. The exhibition’s uniqueness lies in the way it connects the works, the artists’ careers and the historical contexts in which they were created. It forms part of a series of major exhibitions organised by the LAC, founded in 1984, in collaboration with the Municipality of Strassen, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the National Cultural Fund and the Grand Duchess Charlotte National Relief Organisation.
