Description

Refreshment stops available

This route describes a loop around the capital of the Grand Duchy and leads through the dense forests surrounding the city of Luxembourg.

The route starts at the Kockelscheuer site with its romantic ponds in the middle of greenery. Ice sports enthusiasts will also enjoy the ice rink here. But the highlight of the loop is certainly the bike ride through the streets of the old town, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. You ride along the steep cliffs of the upper town and pass the Bockfelsen. From here you have an incomparable view of the Alzette valley, the fortifications, and the modern Kirchberg district opposite, characterized by the bold façades of the Philharmonie and the Museum of Contemporary Art “Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean”.
