The Slate Museum Haut-Martelange offers you a unique and captivating insight view of the life and work of the local quarryman on an area of 8ha of land with more than 22 buildings.

Experience an exciting time travel towards the discovery of the 20th century Slate industry. The Slate Museum allows you to take a captivating overview of the mine extraction based in the area around Martelange. Discover the path of the stone, from its genesis and its underground extraction to the final product and its transportation. Explore the working conditions of the Martelange quarrymen and receive an interesting overview of the daily life of the quarrymen.

The access to the site is free and various animations (ride with the industrial train, Bopebistro (traditional café), detective Schuppi,…) are possible.
