Description
From 19 July to 24 August, the City-Discovery-Tour guides you around the capital to see some of its most important attractions.
The City-Discovery-Tour takes you past the Coque, with its striking shell shape, and the Robert Schuman monument. The tour continues through the city park with its playground, fountain and lawn for sunbathing. A highlight is the cycle path under the Pont Adolphe with views over the Pétrusse valley and the old town – perfect for a photo stop. Past the tower of the Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’Etat (the Luxembourg State and Savings Bank), the Place de Paris invites you to linger in one of the charming cafés and restaurants. Passing the main railway station, the route continues along Boulevard de Kyiv to Boulevard de Kockelscheuer, past two architectural masterpieces: the Ban de Gasperich water tower and the Stade de Luxembourg. It then crosses the newly landscaped Gasperich Park. On the way back, the route passes by the Gëlle Fra and the historic old town along the Grand Ducal Palace. The tour ends with a ride on the panoramic lift to Pfaffenthal, before taking the cable car back to the Kirchberg plateau.

The tour follows the existing cycle infrastructure in Luxembourg City.
In Kirchberg, the tour is a round trip on the same route.
On the weekend of 9 and 10 August, the City-Discovery-Tour (L) overlaps with the Sir-Uelzechtdall-Tour (E) in Paffental. This will be marked and signs will guide you.
