Description
The “Circuit des Terres Rouges” takes you through the industrial south of Luxembourg at your own pace.
The “Circuit des Terres Rouges” cycle tour takes visitors right through the industrial heritage of the Minett region. The start is in the industrial area in Esch-Belval, where steel is still made, but which is primarily characterised by vibrant (university) life today. From here, the route leads via the longest cycle bridge in Luxembourg to the centre of Esch-sur-Alzette, and then past an attractive nature reserve uphill to Rumelange. The route continues on national cycle paths to Tétange, Kayl and Schifflange, before the approximately 32 km-long route leads you past the former industrial area of Esch-Schifflange and through the Esch district of Lallange district back to Belval.

Directions
Start in Esch-Belval in front of Blast Furnace A. From there, the route leads via the cycle bridge and the PC8 cycle path to Esch-sur-Alzette. It runs along traffic-calmed roads and across Place de la Résistance square, before the route turns off and briefly crosses the Boulevard Prince Henri. Watch out for traffic! It then continues on the PC8 cycle path, past the Ellergronn nature reserve, uphill towards Rumelange. In a large arc, the route leads you down to the station in Rumelange, and from there it follows the PC8 cycle path to Tétange and Kayl. In Kayl, you switch onto the PC6 cycle path and follow it to Schifflange, past the major intersection at Toussaintsmillen. At the Dumontshaff nature reserve just before Schifflange, you turn left and head back to Esch-Lallange. Here, the route leads back to Esch-Belval, on traffic-calmed roads and cycle paths.
