Description
Around Schlindermanderscheid runs the relatively challenging Auto-Pédestre hiking trail.
The Auto-Pédestre Schlindermanderscheid starts in the village center. After a short ascent, it goes steeply downhill.
At the northernmost part of the trail is Malpaartes. This legendary place was mentioned by the Luxembourg poet Michel Rodange in 1872 in his version of Goethe's "Reineke Fuchs". According to his story, Renert, the fox, lived in the "Castle Malpaartes".
Here the trail turns and first goes into the valley of the Schlënner and then into the valley of the Sauer until it reaches Goebelsmühle.
Past the train station, it goes steeply uphill back to the starting point of the hike.
