EN In search of an ambitious and innovative concept, the musicians of the Luxembourg Saxophone Ensemble are ready to reinvent the ordinary concert format. The group is embarking on an exciting attempt to enhance the sound of its instrument by making it travel through space or transforming it using electroacoustic music. The laboratory focuses on a rather unusual association between baroque music instruments and the saxophone, as well as on the improbable encounter between the saxophone and the masterpieces of Henry Purcell and Giacomo Scarlatti.

Experimentation thus lies at the heart of the Luxembourg Saxophone Ensemble's artistic project. While seeking to bring out the most expressive elements of early music, the group is all the more keen to unsettle musical perception in order to achieve an unprecedented and unheard-of result.
