Experiencing non-formal education: learning, a child’s play!
Children’s Festival 2026: more than 60 workshops inspired by everyday activities in education and childcare facilities in Luxembourg!
Organised for the fifth consecutive year as part of Children’s Week (30 May to 5 June 2026) by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, in collaboration with actors from the non-formal education sector, the Children’s Festival invites you to enjoy unique and enriching moments as a family.
At the Children’s Festival, children aged 0 to 12 explore their talents and interests through around sixty fun, hands-on workshops. These activities support learning across a range of areas, including creativity, art, movement, emotions, social relationships, language and science, while helping them develop key skills.
The workshops also highlight the role of non-formal education in developing essential skills, whether cognitive, social, physical or emotional.
This year, a tipi will host short conferences, alongside activities for children.
The festival will also showcase pilot projects such as Ludothèques, Zesummen Aktiv, Loscht op Handwierk, Wees de Schonn, 10 doigts – 10 droits and Kulturama, developed by the Agence pour le développement de la qualité dans les secteurs de l'Enfance et de la Jeunesse (AQUEN) (MENJE), in collaboration with childcare and education facilities in Luxembourg.
