Acting Course

Where? 33, rue des Capucins, L-1313 Luxembourg Theatre, Film & Shows, Nightlife, Health

no experience required!

Dig Deep is proud to present our Acting course culminating with a class showcase for family and friends on July 16th

Early bird promo code: €15 off with "acting15" valid until May 10th at midnight

In this course, we’ll analyse, rehearse, and perform scenes from acclaimed, well-crafted theatre plays, bringing fully developed characters to life. You’ll explore each character's motivations, background, and emotional arc in order to help us understand our character and bring your own unique interpretation to them. We will give particular focus on the intricate relationship between the two characters in the scene and how their interactions drive the emotional landscape and move the narrative forward. With guidance from the teacher, you’ll develop the skills to portray an individual character and their connection with others, creating a layered and compelling scene. We'll also explore how to keep scripted performances fresh and spontaneous, and how to avoid them becoming stilted. Additionally, we will work on stagecraft, researching and decoding scripts, vocal skills and embodying a character physically. The scenes we work on will be duologues from different plays.

If you're looking to exercise your creativity, or simply want to try something new, this course offers a safe, supportive environment to explore acting. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, improve public speaking, enhance creative thinking, and connect with your voice and body, as well as to meet new people and unwind after a day's work. No previous experienced is required.

The showcase will be on Thursday July 16th at Rocas when the class will perform the scripted scenes they have been working on. Each student can invite friends and family, and admission is free.

Dates: Tuesdays June 2, 9, 16, 30, July 7, 14 from 7 to 9:00pm (there is no class on June 23rd)

Showcase: Thursday July 16th at Rocas.

Location: Rocas cafe-theatre. Join your classmates before or after class for some drinks and snacks and unwind. June 30th class is at Le Croque Bedaine Limpertsberg.

Attendance: Ideally, it would be really helpful if you can attend class every week. If you know will miss one class please let us know on the checkout form or reach out in advance :)
