National Monument of the Solidarity
Inaugurated in October 1971 the “National Monument of Luxembourg solidarity”, called Kanounenhiwwel (mound of canons) by the locals, is the central place for national commemorations of all the victims of World War II, underlining the solidarity that Luxembourgers showed during the dark years of Nazi occupation.

Shoah Memorial
On 17 June 2018 (75th anniversary of the last transport of Jews to Eastern Europe) a monument to the victims of the Shoah was inaugurated in Luxembourg city. It commemorates the 1300 members of the Jewish community of Luxembourg, victims of the Shoah, who were deported to the ghettos and extermination camps and murdered by the Nazis.
