Off-site event

Echoing the exhibition Vu Lilien a Linnen at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart dedicated to Art Nouveau in Luxembourg, this guided walk takes you through the jewels of Belle Époque architecture in the city centre. Art Nouveau, which valued craftsmanship in reaction to new building materials (iron, glass and concrete), led to the emergence of two schools: the École d'industrie et du commerce and the École d'Artisans de l'État. Participants will observe how in architecture this movement, between innovation and tradition, clearly manifests itself through liberation from the weight of historicism.Departure: arcades of the Cercle-Cité, place d'Armes

Arrival: place Emile HamiliusThe tour will be held in Luxembourgish.
