Ro Gebhardt & the Nu Generation

Ro Gebhardt has over 40 years' experience on stage. Best known for his big band projects, funks and soul music and solo concerts, Ro Gebhardt is back this time with a jazz/latin/blues quartet made of musicians from a variety of backgrounds which tours as Ro Gebhardt & the "Nu Generation" . He is accompanied by a young rhythm section: Alec Gebhardt on bass and Jonas Drobczynski on drums. Together, under the name Ro Gebhardt & the 'Nu Generation', they will be performing original arrangements of some of the standards jazz/latin/blues, along with a number of original compositions from their latest album, 'Blue Music For A Blue Planet'. Ro Gebhardt is a renowned musician who has performed in a number of legendary jazz venues and events, including the Blue Note in New York, the Central Park Jazzfest NYC, the Duc des Lombards in Paris, the Aquarium in Warsaw and the A-Trane in Berlin. He also teaches at several colleges and universities, including the Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts in New York, as well as in Malta, Mainz, Cologne... His quartet will be joined by Armindo Ribeiro, a specialist in Latin-Brazilian singing.
