A Head like a Garden

An off-site project by LUGA – Luxembourg Urban Garden and Cercle Cité.

A Head Like a Garden is a series of artistic protocols that invite a mental and sensory drift through public space. These poetic phrases, engraved on metal plaques and scattered throughout Pfaffenthal in the Pétrusse Valley in Luxembourg City, awaken the imagination and raise awareness of the environment, walking as a creative process, and the invisible energies that surround us.

Each protocol is accompanied by an evolving garden, transformed by the seasons, just like the thoughts it inspires. These gardens for the mind foster a state of constant awakening and gestation, offering a poetic and animistic perspective on the world.

Through collective walks and performative actions, the project embraces an ecological and participatory approach, paying tribute to simple gestures and often overlooked professions, people, and communities.

.

During poetic walks, the artist invites you on a shared journey where each participant has the opportunity to interact with others and with their surroundings, interpreting the artistic protocols in their own way. These moments will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences, share life and migration stories, and compose one or more haikus inspired by the performative gestures proposed by the artist.

Starting point of the walks: LUGA Lab (Parc Odendahl)
