Move to be Born

Where? 14, rue Beck, L-1222 Luxembourg Training/Conferences

Interactive Science Workshop

Imagine giving birth like a movie star, lying on your back in bed. But wait!

Research tells a different story. Upright positions and freedom to move during labor can be game-changers, and we’re here to show you why.

.

Join us in Luxembourg for a series of free scientific workshops that bring childbirth research to life. This outreach project, funded by an FNR PSP Classic grant, aims at making evidence-based knowledge accessible, engaging, and empowering for everyone.

.

Note: these scientific workshops do not replace in any way the preparation for birth proposed by liberal midwives

These interactive workshops combine scientific research, hands-on experiments, and body-embodiment based learning.

Despite growing evidence supporting upright and mobile childbirth, many societal norms and media portrayals still favor outdated practices. These workshops help challenge those perceptions through scientific inquiry and embodied experience, giving participants the tools to make informed, confident decisions about their births.

Participation in these workshops is free of charge thanks to the support of Luxembourg’s National Research Fund (FNR). The workshops are open to everyone, with priority given to women that are currently pregnant. Whether you’re expecting, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about the science of childbirth, you’re welcome here.
